Hillary Harris
When does it rain?
Before the clouds break apart,
Just enough for that yellow beam to strike through?
When does it rain?
When you wake up in the morning,
But are still too tired to get up.
When does it rain?
The day you wash your hair.
The hour your car breaks down close to nowhere.
The minute you walk outside.
When does it rain?
When the skies turn black and blue
And thunder interrupts your audible thought.
When does it rain?
“When God cries,” simply stated by a small child
Too young to even know how complex that really is.
When does it rain?
previous. next.

I love this poem. So true in the days we know as now.
