Bloom

by Ariel Perez

Pearly dew drops, drop
To clear away the summers blanket of heat
And dust
This green unfolds into falling shades
Of gold-
While dark rolling clouds bring in our long envied cold

Transition- into a second spring
Every leaf becomes a flower
And it is time for the masses to bloom

A fresh layer of life, is laid down
Saplings push up and through
Golden buds-

The smell of wet earth
Cooling-
Fills the emptiness throughout the woods
This is the moment
Autumn awakens
